Your documents. Your AI. In your office.

A private AI box in your family office reads and translates your papers, answers questions in plain English with the page behind every line, and shows how everything connects. Nothing leaves it.

Sample archive of a fictional family.

What it does

See who is connected to what.

Pick a person, trust or company. The graph shows how they connect to the family’s papers, with each role and the document it comes from. Timeline and Map views sit beside it.

Know which version is in force.

The Chains view lines up wills, trusts and powers of attorney by date. See which version counts, what replaced the old one, and what was in force on any past date. A paper not shown to be signed is marked, not assumed.

Chains view: As of October 11, 2026: 7 of 7 chains in force; the 2008 power of attorney is revoked. 3 undated drafts of the will, none known to be signed. Find problems nobody asked about.

Document health is a standing review of the whole archive. Here, a life policy still names a wife who died in 2008, and a second codicil exists only as unsigned drafts. Vault shows the evidence and leaves the decision to you.

Document health: four open findings. The selected conflict says beneficiary designation SL-2006-0419 still names Eleanor M. Hale, who died on 2 November 2008. Two quotes are checked against the page. Below it, three drafts in the will’s chain, none shown to be signed, a scan held for labels and 31 scans with poor OCR.

Ask in plain English.

Ask the way you would ask a colleague. The answer reads like a memo. Every line cites its page, and each quote is checked word for word against that page before you see it. If the papers don’t settle a point, it says so. It helps you find and check; it is not legal advice.

The question “Who can act for Robert if he is in the hospital?” and its answer: Margaret E. Hale is his health care agent and his agent under the 2015 durable power of attorney; Daniel J. Hale is the alternate and Imogen Reyes the successor agent. Six of six quotes match the page. Below, the source rows from the 2015 health care directive; a side list shows the facts the answer used.

It stays in your office.

Nothing leaves the box. You decide who sees what.

One box, in your office.
Vault runs on a single computer on your premises. The models that read, translate and answer run on it too.
It works offline.
Reading, search and answers need no internet connection. Your papers and questions never go to a cloud service or an outside AI provider.
Each person sees only what you allow.
Give an adviser the papers for her matter and nothing else. “View as” shows exactly what she sees, with no hint that other papers exist.
Every view is logged.
The audit log records who opened what, so you can answer that question later.

We look after it.

We set it up.
Custodia installs the box and supports it, on site or remotely by appointment.
You approve every update.
Updates arrive as signed packages. Nothing installs until you approve it.
Backups stay in your office.
The box backs up to an encrypted drive that you keep.
If it fails, we replace it.
We swap the box and restore it from your backup.

On our roadmap

Not available yet. These are planned, not part of Vault today. We’ll tell you plainly what a pilot includes.

  • Picture search

Find photographs and plans by what they show.

  • Drafting

Draft letters and memos from the archive, with the same page citations.

  • Ongoing intake

One-way intake from laptops, the office scanner and email.

  • Deadlines

Renewal dates, expiring grants and other deadlines, on a calendar.

  • Briefs

A short written brief on one question, with its sources.

  • Adviser packs

A packet of the papers one adviser needs for one matter.

  • Financial figures

Holdings and figures across entities, read from statements.

Common questions

Does it go online?

No. It runs on your office network with no public internet address. Your documents and questions stay on the box.

What files can it read?

Word, Excel, PDFs, email, images and old scans, in English, German, French, Italian, and Spanish. It translates between them, so you can read an Italian deed in English. A poor scan can still be searched, but Vault won’t quote it in an answer until a better copy is on file.

Who sees what?

Each person sees only the papers you allow. Before you invite someone, “View as” shows you their view. Every view is logged.

What hardware does it need?

One compact computer in your office, which we configure for you. It joins your office network. There is no cloud account to set up.

How do documents get in?

We load your archive with you during setup, from folders or drives. You can watch it read, and search what is done while the rest continues.

What does it cost?

It depends on the size of your archive and who needs access. We give you a fixed quote after a walkthrough.

See it for yourself.

Pilots are starting now. Book a private 30-minute walkthrough over a screen share, on the sample archive, and bring the questions your office gets asked.
